Single Speed MTN Build Kit

After discovering the joys of single speed mountain bike riding and racing, we at Mountains Plus decided to assemble a top-notch and bomb-proof build kit for your single speed dirt machine. Using a mix of tried and true parts from our favorite component companies and suppliers, this build kit will have you screamin' down your local single-track with a new found love for all things dirt. The cockpit consists of our favorite FSA OS-115 stem matched with the FSA XC-190 Handlebar. Avid Elixir R hydraulic disc brakes and 160mm rotors control the speed, while a Pro Built wheel set (Shimano XT disc hubs, Mavic 317 rims, Wheelsmith spokes) and Wheels Manufacturing Spacer/Cog kit keep you rolling. Truvativ's dedicated single speed 175mm Stylo Crank with a 32 tooth ring and bash guard and Sram's PC-1 chain complete the drivetrain. Lastly, we have FSA's SL-K carbon seatpost to add that extra bling. Everything pictured is included in this build (colors and styles may vary). Build DOES NOT INCLUDE GRIPS, SADDLE, PEDALS and FORK.

Sram Build Kit / X0, KORE, AVID

Based on our years of race experience in cross-country MTB and adventure racing, we know what products perform and last. Single Speed Budget Build Kit

OK, we get it. Funds are tight and times are rough. That's why we assembled this build kit for your single speed off-road rig that won't break the bank, but will still get you out there shreddin' on your favorite trail on high end componentry. We start with a Kore Komponents cockpit featuring Kore's Race stem and 6061 Riser bar. Avid's Speed Dial 7 brake levers control the Avid BB5 mechanical disc brakes (160mm rotors) that are laced to a Sun Ryno-Lite Rim / Shimano Deore six-bolt disc hub wheel set. Truvativ's Stylo Single Speed crank (32 tooth ring), Sram's PC-1 chain, Wheels Manufacturing spacers/cog conversion kit and a Oury's classic grips complete the package. Start this season off the right way by investing in your bike and riding time with this 9 speed drive train kit we've complied from top notch SRAM components. We use the X0 Trigger shifters, which are top in their class by using Sram's 1:1 cable ratio, the X0 rear derailleur and it's cool looking and durable carbon pulley cage, the X9 front derailleur (be sure to choose sizing), and a SRAM PG-980 11-32 cassette with a PC-991 chain.
